Lamenting the weather
Photo: my lamiums are twining together, and have filled in the half-moon garden very well. Almost too well!
Otherwise, I'm kind of depressed...
At 4:30 Sunday morning high winds and fast-moving hail destroyed a lot of my hard work. Many sunflowers snapped in half, tomato leaves fell broken and bruised to the patio below, and carrots were pounded into submission.
That afternoon I had to clean up a lot of broken branches and a few dead goldfinches, but also had a fresh start by pruning some hedges and bushes that finished flowering.
Other than the frequent, destructive storms we've been experiencing, the other factor weighing on my mood is a large Indoor Project that is in dire need of completion.
