Bees love apple blossoms, too. This is a different variety of bee than the plum-lovers. Maybe a wasp variety...

I'm pretty afraid of wasps, and getting to be that way about bees after "the compost experience." (Synopsis: they were living in the pile and decided to get stuck in my hair. No stings, but a reasonable amount of trauma.)
